We asked AI - Imagine Feluda from Kolkata meets Sh We asked AI - Imagine Feluda from Kolkata meets Sherlock Holmes in London to investigate a murder, then how would it look?

Feluda and Sherlock meet and investigate a murder!

There are many characteristics that are similar and different in both these characters, however, let's just say, the final motive is to find the criminal and deconstruct the crime.

Sherlock keeps it to himself and reveals everything at the end, while Feluda discusses it with Tompshe many times and thinks over how things would have happened. Sherlock hardly shows any emotions but Feluda is shocked, frustrated, and elated - displays every emotion with calmness. So, how do you think they would work together if situation demands so?

Baba Ghanoush is a popular Middle Eastern dish mad Baba Ghanoush is a popular Middle Eastern dish made from roasted eggplant, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, and various spices. Its origins can be traced back to the Mediterranean region and the Levant, where eggplant has been a staple ingredient in local cuisine for centuries. The dish is typically served as an appetizer or a dip, and it is often accompanied by pita bread or fresh vegetables.

The name "Baba Ghanoush" literally means "pampered father" in Arabic, and it is said to have originated from a story about a wealthy and indulgent man who loved to eat this dish. However, the exact origins of Baba Ghanoush are unclear and there are several variations of the story.

Regardless of its origins, Baba Ghanoush has become a staple dish in many countries in the Middle East and North Africa, including Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Egypt. Over the years, it has also gained popularity in other parts of the world, particularly in Europe and North America, where it is now widely available in many restaurants and grocery stores.

We have something similar in India, 'Baigan ka Bharta' ..Can you guess how these two eggplant dishes are different?

History of Cabaret

Towards the end of the 19th century,  the song, or chanson  , was the main form of entertainment in French cafés, and songs were not only for entertainment but were used as a medium for communication to react to what was happening in the country. At a time when media was controlled by powerful authorities, it was an outlet for the working class to ridicule the social mores.

Soon the solo songs transformed into café concerts.

Ingmar Bergman's Persona The two characters in B Ingmar Bergman's Persona

The two characters in Bergman's masterpiece  - Elisabeth and Alma played by Liv Ullmann and  Bibi Andersson displayed a range in contrasting yet similar characteristics of an individual. If we intentionally try to move away from the apparent gender of these two individuals, we see two characters trying to pull each other's energies, as living creatures.

Elisabeth - is quiet but begins to become stronger with time and seems like gaining her strength from Alma.

Alma - we see Alma changing from a caregiver to a violent person on being exposed to a certain truth - showing us the range of human psyche and behaviour.

Alma's weakening condition and Elisabeth getting stronger seem to be proportional, aligning with the physical law that energy is transformed from one form to another. The two are contrasting and compelementing of each other - a place where attachment and animosity reside in a single frame of mind.

With time, pulp fiction gained momentum and many authors and filmmakers either rewrote the sensational content or transformed it into visual poetry.

Remembering Nabaneeta Dev Sen on her third death a Remembering Nabaneeta Dev Sen on her third death anniversary

A few things are just destiny, absolutely inevitable! Nabaneeta's indulgence in poetry was something that followed this theory. Born to celebrated poets Radharani Debi and Narendra Dev , and named by Rabindranath Tagore himself, Nabaneeta published her first set of poems when she was only 7 years old.

Her writings were not limited to a particular genre, rather she tried expressing her emotions in almost every style - feminist essays, children's literature, journals, and travelogues, but she loved being identified as a poet. Through poetry, she ventured into the lanes of freedom that seemed unapproachable via any other route. Nabaneeta reached out to her audience through poetry and received love for her innate ability to express her views in words.

Pulp has two dictionary definitions: the first on Pulp has two dictionary definitions: the first one being “a soft, moist, shapeless mass of matter”, and the second one is “a magazine or book containing lurid subject matter and being characteristically printed on rough, unfinished paper." With time, pulp fiction gained momentum and many authors and filmmakers either rewrote the sensational content or transformed it into visual poetry.

Pulp fiction other than being a popular genre, is also a movie of the same name, Quentin Tarantino tried to capture the essence of the pulp magazines in his film - graphic violence and seedy characters.
